Techo Startup Center (TSC) has just been transformed into public administrative institution under the guardianship of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) of Cambodia. TSC has its mandate to accelerate startups by leveraging entrepreneurship and innovation capacities through well-supported programs and services. TSC adopts the co-innovation model that we need to build necessary groundwork for the startups to further innovate and grow.
In this regard, TSC has been trusted to co-implement the Startup Cambodia National Program as a coordination and support mechanism from the government in building a vibrant ecosystem for local startups to thrive. To fulfill the mission, TSC is looking for qualified candidates to join our strong and vibrant team in order to implement the startup & community programs effectively.
We are looking for 4 young talent and capable candidates to join our fast-growing team to fulfill the position of Startup Cambodia Program Coordinator (1 post) & Startup Program Associates (3 posts) with key responsibilities as follows:
Support and contribute to the implementation of the Startup programs under TSC’s Startup Development Framework.
Effectively support on external communications with startups, mentors, and other stakeholders, for example, Entrepreneur Supporting Organizations (ESOs)…etc.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of relevant information related to the Ecosystem actors/ stakeholders, relevant programs, events and resources and add the new ones into the Startup Cambodia digital platform.
Ensure preparation, and timely delivery of the Programs including Hackathon, Accelerators, and Community events (e.g., SparkMeet, SparkHour etc.)
Conduct desk review/ market research on startup-related topics as needed
Provide constant support to program stakeholders – including internal TSC team, startups, mentors, and partners as well as sponsors.
Assist in the preparation of project materials for submission to related partners, including but not limited to: articles, reports, and presentations
Organize events and workshops related to startup acceleration process.
Match the startups to relevant mentors in the mentor network.
Mentor startups for transforming their idea into a business model.
Attend other public events and workshops on startups/entrepreneurship within the Cambodia startup ecosystem.
Perform marketing research on specific subjects in order to get an insight into the pain points which will be tackled by startups.
Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the TSC Management.
The candidate should/must possess the following qualifications:
At least hold Bachelor degree in Management, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Computer Science or related fields. Fresh graduate with Master degree in the relevant field is preferable.
Minimum 2-3 years of working experience, preferably in business, technology or entrepreneurship-related area.
Demonstrate entrepreneurship experience and/or business running experience.
Has experience and knowledge of digital platform development is a plus.
Has experience of conducting studies, workshops, seminars, review meetings, annual planning exercises, etc.
Prior knowledge of startup ecosystem and startup landscape in Cambodia.
A strong interest and some experience in an array of emerging technologies such as blockchain, data science, artificial intelligence, etc.
Understand the process of ideation and innovation.
Strong organizational and presentation skills and attention to detail.
Be having passion, perseverance, innovation and startup spirit.
